July 4 road trip
So Jonner took the week off and we took off with the baby to Iowa to visit the inlaws. His sister with her 4 girls were up and we got a front-seat preview of all the stages of childhood that Ruby is facing. 1, 3, 6, and 8 years old.
She was fantastic-- slept 10-12 hours at night, beamed at everyone during the day, and rolled onto her stomach like a champion by the end of the visit. She was like a rolling robot. You hit "on" (that's her soft spot) and put her down on the ground, and she'd roll over.
Claire, her 6 year old cousin, took a special shine to Ruby. She was Ruby's constant entertainment, dancing madly with her two little bug toys, singing "pip 'n pop, pip 'n pop", or rubbing her face in Ruby's tummy. Ruby ate it up, giggling and laughing.
