Traveling cookies

So has anyone had this problem? I baked probably close to four dozen chocolate chip cookies, and about half of the damn things kept traveling either to the middle of the sheet tray and becoming one giant cookie, or they travelled to the edges and became nasty little semi-circles. At least I got to take home some of the ug-os.
