36 weeks

Here's a color picture and previously unseen front view of my tummy. You can see the crooked linea negra very clearly here.

Poor Rimsky

Rimsky threw up a couple times last night, and yay for me, one pile was right in the doorway to our bedroom. So I stepped in it while coming back from the bathroom. There was a lot of cursing at 3 in the morning. Later this morning, he had this mournful look on his face and his nose was dripping freely all over the place. It was disgusting, but I felt bad because he looked so pathetic with his watery red eyes blinking at me. But then every time I looked away he would jump up and systematically walk around on the kitchen counter (nose still dripping) and knock over every glass and container. He was sitting in all the forbidden places, tearing leaves off the plants, and being a total pest. He was driving me nuts. I came back from lunch and he had somehow gotten into the cupboard under the sink where the trash is, and got coffee grounds or some other gross black stuff all over his feet and legs. That was it. I gave him the ultimate punishment-- a bath. Oh boy, did he hate the bath. He yowled and kicked and sloshed the water all over me and the floor.

At any rate, his nose seems to have stopped running and after several hours, he forgave me and sat on my legs on the ottoman next to the heater and dozed for half an hour. I hope he gets better soon.

Wii Woo

So we got a Wii. Wii! Jonner already has a sore arm from playing too much tennis, and I am working on Elebits. It's a very odd game where you have a gravity gun and move things around while capturing little electrical creatures that hide underneath. It's really fun, but I can't seem to blink when I'm playing, which means my eyes run freely when I play. After every game, I have to mop up my face because of the tears that have run down and dripped onto my clothes. I know, strange problems.

dream

I've told this dream to almost everyone I know, so this is only a record for posterity.

I had a dream that I gave birth to a giant baby girl, but I was having a hard time pushing out the placenta. It finally came after several hours, and it looked really cool. It was long-ish and vacuum sealed in clear plastic. I could see inside that it was kind of yellow with these cool turqoise colored veins inside. Anyway, I saw on top that it had a price tag on it that said $19.99. I was pissed that someone had inserted the plastic bag in me when I wasn't looking.

So I get a relaxing day at home today. I'll get to put up my sausage feet and watch a movie once I get around to taking a shower. I already had one of the chocolate chip vegan scones I made yesterday, so the day is off to a good start.

Knitting

Yay, more pictures of things I've made.

More belly

Yup, I'm bigger. For those who are curious, my discomforts are minor but numerous and include:

swelling feet and hands (the other night I fit into a size 8 shoe!)
some kind of joint/nerve pain in my right hip
little pains on my stomach when the baby decides to stretch
a backed up feeling every time I eat
urge to pee becomes a screaming emergency when the baby punches my bladder
I have to wash dishes standing sideways (I sure wish my arms were longer)

Here's a picture of me today. Once again, I offer no apologies for the scandalous partial views of my undergarments.
